Since 1994 I have called Nashville home. Sprocket Therapy Solutions became a special place for my family, because of my son, Colin. When he was in 5th grade, my husband and I realized there was more going on than messy handwriting. His teachers were complaining they couldn’t read his writing and he just needed to slow down. Yet, I could see how hard he tried to write neatly and how much he struggled to write between the lines. I noticed the size of his letters varied within a word and spacing between words was all over the place. I began to wonder if there was a correlation between his fine motor skills and his previous diagnosis of verbal Apraxia at nearly three years old. Colin received speech therapy for four years to learn how to talk, after not speaking the first two years of his life. The original therapy place was too far away for weekly sessions, so I asked a friend where her son had received occupational therapy. I am so grateful for her recommendation of Sprocket Therapy Solutions. We learned at the evaluation there was great deal more than just fine and gross motor issues, he also retained a number of primitive reflexes.
When the Office Manager Position opened, I jumped at the chance to be a part of such an amazing place and team. I love children and often they will visit with me before their appointments start. I am an avid reader of various genres and if I sit down for more than 10 minutes, I will have a book in hand. I love playing games and doing puzzles. I bring 14 years of office administration experiences to this role and happy to assist you and your family. |
